Q2: LOTF thesis
Lord of the Flies portrays Jack and Ralph to have an intense relationship that includes them feuding for power. It is the attitude of Jack that allows for Ralph to be able to stand up at the end of the book and claim the power as his to the navel officer.

"Who's boss here?"
"I am," said Ralph loudly.
This textual evidence supports my thesis because my thesis is studying further into the relationship between Jack and Ralph and the stand Ralph takes at the end of the book to make a point towards Jack. Whenever it says "said Ralph loudly" it emphasizes the tone of voice he was using. This could be directed at Jack showing who is greater, or it could be because of the burning flames around them.
